We take a different approach.
Your trees are only one element in a complex ecosystem that surround your home or business.
Sunlight, water, wind, soil content, elevation, and view are all important when caring for the trees and shrubs on your property. We are also experts in pest and disease control that are often at the root of environmental issues. Tree removal, when absolutely necessary, is but one of our expert services.
Pruning
Pruning or trimming should be done regularly to control shape and keep branches from harming surrounding structures or people. Pruning should always be performed sparingly. In some cases, however, pruning is absolutely necessary because damaged limbs pose a threat to other healthy parts of the tree or surrounding structures. You can trust Collins Tree Service to know the difference. Our experience ensures that our pruning recommendations will not exceed what it takes to get the job done right.
Fertilization
Fertilizer is another important aspect of tree health care that is best applied in the fall or early spring. In addition to providing nutrients, fertilizers increase the amount of three major nutrients in the soil: nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Because nitrogen is rapidly depleted from the soil, we strongly recommend replenishing regularly.
Insects and Disease
Insects and disease pose two of the most serious threats to your trees‘ health. As soon as you notice any abnormality in your trees appearance, call us. By examining the specific symptoms of damage and understanding their causes, we will diagnose the problem and select the proper treatment.
Weed Control
Poison Ivy can be a very invasive pest in the landscape. Collins Tree Service has licensed NH Pesticide Applicators on staff to control Poison Ivy and other weeds in the landscape.
Stump Grinding
If you need the entire stump removed immediately, there is no better tool than a stump grinder. We have the equipment to complete this task – a high-speed disc with specially designed teeth that grind the stump and underground roots into small chips. We accomplish this with little-to-no impact to the landscape. |
